Week 4 Vision Board

Seeing changes makes me a believer!
Personally, I am starting out on the far right side Morbid Obesity.
My goal is to be BUFF! Ha Ha!

This is not your typical blog that talks about how things are great, and how I got my hard body in 120 days! I wish it were that easy! For a few months I went around reading what other people were saying. I found a lot that did not talk about the struggles or the pain. I want to make sure that I add every detail as possible because going from one place into a healthier place is going to be a journey, and we want to make sure we are covering every detail of that journey. The one thing I did not like about their blogs' was the fact they did not have a lot of pictures. I want to see how they changed through out the whole process. I want to see pictures with proper lighting, in the same clothes. Oh, boy! My clothes were my bathing suit!! LOL If I am going to do this right then I will have to put it on every month to see the difference from each picture. Getting back to what I was saying before I mentioned my clothing. When you look at their pictures they posted up for everyone to review do you notice how the 1st picture looks really old, and the 2nd picture looks completely different. Their hair is different besides their bodies are buff. Well I want to see everything in between, wouldn't you?

There will always be bumps along the road. Its how you deal with them that matters. Do you give up? Do you push forward? Do you change your workout and modify it? Well, I am pushing forward but with a modified workout with a goal in 8 weeks to start back at the beginning. I am the kind of person who sees a challenge, and if I can't do that challenge I will modify get stronger, and come back to complete that challenge successfully. Now if you want me to go a little deeper then working out. You can apply this to any area of your life. Really! If you find something that is hard, and you find yourself frustrated. Take a day off, regroup, and come at it from a different angle. Ask people who have succeeded, take notes, read those notes everyday, apply them to your life, and get over the hump. Next, make a vision board with quotes from that advice they shared with you or post up some positive quotes. Also, find some pictures of outfits that you can see yourself wearing in the future. Then you are going to hang it up in your bedroom, mirrors, refrigerator, and walls.  Post it all over or in one spot. Then I want you to look at them, read them, over and over and over again. Everyday! Fill your head up with positivity day in and day out. Even if you are extremely negative do it anyways! Change that negativity into something positive. Over time you will see your thinking will change to more positive then negative. That's overcoming life's issues. Just remember no ones life is perfect we all have issues that we have to overcome. Now back to the issue at hand. My issue is getting my body healthy, and to get my immune system to calm down! As you can see my intestines inflamed by week 2. The sad part of this story is I've been doing cardio 3 days a week before I started this blog. I started out doing 20 minutes, and it took about 6 weeks before I could increase my time by 10 minutes. My starting goal for this blog is at least 30 minutes of cardio.

This week build a vision board with positive quotes, inspiration, and pictures of outfits that you want to see yourself in. Don’t forget to make notes to which store you can purchase that outfit from. You can also include things you want to accomplish. What ever it is all it all together so when you look at it everyday several times a day you will push yourself forward to reaching each goal!

Here are some positive quotes to help get you started:

Yummy Zucchini Quinoa Bread

There is nothing like zucchini bread! I enjoy sinking my teeth into a slice with a nice hot cup of coffee. Yum Yum! But how does one enjoy zucchini bread when your on a health journey and giving up sugar amongst other things? Well, I did some research on making it from scratch and came up with my very own recipe! I can't wait to try it! The traditional bread has regular milk, eggs, white sugar, brown sugar, canola oil, and wheat flour to name a few. I took out all those ingredients and replaced it with much filling and healthier ingredient choices. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do. Matter of fact, I believe everyone should make this recipe and try it. Its good to get outside of your comfort zone and try something new. You may just shock yourself and find out it tastes just the same but more filling. Plus, not to mention we are bringing our buff back right? We will have to make some changes in out nutrition as we go along our journey. This recipe makes appro...

Rough Week

This week was a rough one for sure. You see my father-in-law Greg died this week shorty after our vacation up north. We did not expect him to leave us so sudden. Which led me to a little bit of emotional eating instead of dealing with my pain. When I recognized what I was doing I stopped, and assessed the situation. All I needed to do was to talk about happy memories, and cry a little bit. I feel like I am  a little numb on the inside...I can't let emotional eating steer me away from my goals no matter how painful a death can be. I know one day I will see him again in heaven. Until that day comes I need to focus on a healthier lifestyle, and reaching my weight loss goal. Not to mention I am sure he would be very sad if I did not stay my course.... I know death is hard to deal with when someone so close to you passes on. I can't express how painful it is until you actually have gone through a tragedy like this. Some people quit eating, others over eat, and its easier to no...

Homemade Quinoa Bread

This  quinoa bread is very simple to make. It is gluten-free, yeast free, and its vegan. Because you don't need to mess with yeast this makes this an easy bread to make. Only takes about 5-7 minutes to prepare, and 60 minutes to cook, and another 60 minutes to cool. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees, and take out your bread pan and grease it with a little bit of coconut oil. When I started this recipe I used my blender to blend the quinoa, gluten-free flour (I used gluten-free oats), baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Blend for a few minutes until the quinoa is grinder down into a fine flour and everything is mixed.  Next, I poured everything into my food processor but you could still use the blender too. Pour the flour from the blender, and add all the liquid; Almond milk, honey, and coconut oil. Blend again for a few minutes until everything is blended.  Transfer your bread mix into the prepared bread pan, and if ...
